Welcome to Michael Hough, our new Frameworx Procurement Manager

Michael Hough joins the NHMF Frameworx team, bringing with him a wealth of experience in procurement.

Michael introduces himself:

“I’m delighted to have joined NHMF Frameworx at such an exciting time. We’ve just hit the £300m milestone of works procured via the comprehensive range of agreements that Frameworx offers the social housing sector. Having achieved this in a relatively short period of time is impressive, and provides a fantastic platform for me to actively contribute to further growth and strategic development of the Frameworx solution, whilst continuing our drive to be the leading framework provider within the public sector.

“I’ve worked in procurement for the last seven years but also have experience across sales and customer service throughout my working life. I enjoy learning new things and bring with me a plethora of professional qualifications. Most importantly for my role here, I hold Chartered Status (MCIPS) from the Chartered Institute of Procurement and Supply (CIPS).I also hold credentials that enable me to support our Members and Contractors with an in-depth understanding of some of the works being procured, such as IOSH Managing Safety and Health Certification; IOSH Fire Managers Certification; BOHS Proficiency Certificate in P901 – Legionella Management; NHBC CDM Regulations 2015 Awareness Certification; ASL Duty to Manage Asbestos Qualification; and, NEBOSH Level 3 Certificate in Controlling Workplace Hazards.

“I also hold qualifications in customer services, business administration and health and safety and am currently pursuing a Bachelor of Science Honours Degree in Engineering, with a particular focus on Renewable Energy Technology, Environmental Management, and Sustainability. I anticipate completing this qualification in 2026, after which I plan to advance to postgraduate studies, including a master’s degree and potentially a PhD.

“All of these contribute to my role as Frameworx Procurement Manager, enabling me to capably support the procurement process. The primary responsibilities of my role include providing expert advice and guidance on procurement processes, supporting procurement activities, and overseeing call-off opportunities within the Frameworx brand. I will be actively helping to significantly grow Frameworx’s presence and market share, positioning it as one of the premier framework providers in the UK.

“It’s been a great first few weeks and I’m really excited to be here, ready to make a positive impact on the sector with Frameworx.”
