With the recent news that Wave 3 funding from the Social Housing Decarbonisation Fund is available, NHMF Frameworx shares their readiness to support housing providers. As an integral part of the housing community, Frameworx’s network of Approved Providers on both the Planned Maintenance Net Zero Works and Energy Consultancy are geared up to deliver seamless and effective decarbonisation and retrofit programs.
David Miller, Frameworx Director comments: “With the upcoming launch of SHDF Wave 3 this summer, the government has allocated a significant £1.2 billion to upgrade 140,000 additional homes to an EPC rating of C or above. In preparation for this, we urge housing providers to begin forming partnerships and preparing their applications now. At Frameworx we offer access to a selection of top-tier providers, including many renowned brands and certified installers who hold the necessary Trustmark or equivalent accreditation and relevant MCS standard certifications to meet the PAS 2035:2019 specification.
What’s New for Wave 3
“SHDF Wave 3 introduces two new routes to access funding: the Challenge Fund and Strategic Partnerships. Although these routes are designed to reduce the resource burden at the application stage and provide greater flexibility, it’s important to get informed early. You can find detailed information you need in the scheme guidance.
Timescales and Key Dates
“Meeting the tight timelines is crucial. Due to the grant funds must be drawn down and expended by 31 March 2025, with all works completed by 30 September 2025. All landlords should start working with providers now to check overall stock energy performance and identify properties suitable for retrofit works based on a fabric-first principle. Although the timelines are tight, the sooner the procurement process starts, the better the outcomes for successful contract delivery, value for money, smooth fully resourced programme delivery – and ultimately, the planet.
