Frameworx, the social housing procurement framework that is committed to investing in social value and communities, has launched its new Heating Services framework.
The new framework offers two ways to procure (either via direct award or mini competition) standard or microgeneration heating appliances, installation, servicing, and maintenance for domestic, commercial and communal areas.
Frameworx Director, David Miller comments: “We are extremely pleased to launch the new agreement for Heating Services at such a critical time when many housing providers are looking to raise the heating standards of their housing stock.
“The agreement covers both standard heating systems, enabling clients to procure for heating appliances, installations, servicing and maintenance in both domestic and commercial/ communal settings, as well as microgeneration appliances, such as heat pumps, biomass, solar thermal and other system using renewable energy. This includes the installations, servicing and maintenance, too.
“One of the key benefits of frameworx is the ease in which clients can procure. Under each agreement there are two frameworks allowing clients to directly award to any of our approved providers, or to run a mini competition and provider cover the whole UK, including England, Wales, Scotland and Northern Ireland.
“Each of the 16 approved providers has undergone a rigorous evaluation process to ensure they can mobilise quickly on contracts in these key areas and also share our ethos of providing better value for social housing providers and demonstratable commitment to social value. Our job is to match the right service providers with the right clients for the best collaborative outcomes. We’re already doing this across the 37 contracts secured and have over £114 million in the pipeline, with more to come.
“Frameworx has a new ethos and approach that is designed to offer greater choice and better value for social housing providers, contractors and suppliers who have a shared commitment to investing in social value and the communities in which we work. Interest so far has been endorsed our strategy.
“Frameworx has definitely landed, and we are excited to see the number of frameworks, service providers and social housing client members grow.”
